The Connexion is the emergent expression and second site of The Aldersgate Community, a United Methodist Church in southwest Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

We are new, fresh out of the box and always under assembly. We’re re-imagining what it means to be the church; putting together a church for those who are looking for a different way to explore their spirituality. Maybe you’ve been alienated by the church or have a problem with so called “organized” religion. We have some concerns about that as well, but we do embrace the best of what the church has to offer and the Essentials of the Christian faith.

Our concept is simple. All of Scripture can be simplified down to what we say in our motto: Love God, Love All, Live Free. We’re giving that our best shot.

We are one of about thirty Network Churches across the world using resources provided by LifeChurch.tv in Oklahoma City, OK. LifeChurch currently has twelve satellite campuses as well, all sharing the same resources and message. LifeChurch has been voted the most innovative church in the country for two years in a row. What’s with the name? The idea is that we seek to help people connect with God and each other. To be connected means to live in harmony with each other, not in conflict - the true meaning of “shalom”.

We’re a group of all ages exploring and experiencing what it means to follow the way of Jesus. We all have struggles and challenges; We have different opinions on life and come from different backgrounds; We all have a desire to explore spiritual matters.

All are invited and welcome, wherever you are on your spiritual journey. Believers, those checking out the faith, and skeptics alike.
